What are they made of?

WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF? Made from the bark of areca palm tree. When the leaf dries off and falls off with the bark, the bark is collected and moulded into different shapes. It is free of any chemicals or plastic coating hence 100% natural, bio-degradable & compostable. Areca palm plantations are abundant in India. Traditionally, Areca nuts or betel nuts of the areca palm are commonly used in India as food masticator or as offerings for prayers. The glasses/cups and takeaway boxes are made from bagasse – waste of sugarcane, after the juice has been extracted. The waste is converted in to pulp that is moulded into different shapes.

WHERE ARE THEY MANUFACTURED? They are manufactured in India. The Eco-Statement supports the cottage industries that manufacture these products. They are food grade certified. CAN THEY BE RE-USED? They are an eco-friendly alternative to single-use plastics so mostly meant for single use.If they are used to serve dry food such as chips or popcorn; after use you can wipe them clean and make sure they are completely dry before re-use. ARE THE ARECA LEAF PRODUCTS COMPOSTABLE? Yes, they are compostable in home compost. You have to wash off the plates/bowls to clear them of any cooked food or oil, remove excess water, then chop them into smaller pieces and add to the compost. HOW LONG DOES TAKE TO COMPOST THE ARECA LEAF PRODUCTS? It takes about 6-8 weeks to compost but is dependent on composting conditions. WHERE ELSE ARE THE PRODUCTS AVAILABLE IN SINGAPORE? To ensure that your order reaches you in good condition, in the shortest span of time, we ship through registered couriers only. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR AN ORDER TO ARRIVE? Orders are dispatched within 3 working days and most orders are delivered within a week. Delivery of all orders will be done to the address as stated by you at the time of placing the order. SHIPPING FEE Shipping Fee is calculated during Check-Out. Shipping fee varies depending on your order, choice of delivery. We provide free shipping in Singapore for orders above $ 35!

RETURN POLICY - We accept exchange or return within 15 days from the date you received the order. - Original receipt must be presented for exchange or return. - Original product is required. Exchanged or returned product(s) must be in its new and original condition, original product packaging attached with its original price tags and labels..
